Frequency Unknown is an independent publishing project initiated by Remco Deelstra. It holds two bodies of work together without making them the same.
Fiction begins with a world: its histories, weather, institutions and omissions. Stories, documents and images are ways of encountering it. The fictional work is published under the name R. Delacorme.
Urban books begin elsewhere, in the conditions of shared life: institutions, technology, public purpose and the practical decisions that shape a city. They remain connected by an interest in what becomes visible when familiar systems are made slightly strange.
